Anastasia Gumbiner is an author and illustrator. She grew up in Santa Fe and Malibu while spending time with family in Texas and England. She attended the University of New Mexico where she received her BA in Art History. Her interest in both art and history has greatly influenced her literary and artistic work. She currently resides in Texas.

 

In 2024, Anastasia wrote and illustrated The Tumblesom Teds and Doolimara. The characters and stories were inspired by drawings and games from her own childhood.

Along with children's books, Anastasia also writes short stories which have appeared in literary journals including The Ekphrastic Review and Conceptions Southwest. 

 

She is working on her first novel.
